Amien

This is the Cathédrale Notre-Dame in Amien. Apparently it has the tallest nave in the world and indeed it was pretty lofty, Buildings like this always amaze me. The time it must have taken to build them, the care and dedication and sheer hard work put in, the way they actually stay up at all... The hundreds of carvings, each one unique.

We ate out for lunch, Plat de Jour, a good bloody French steak with frites. Excellent!
