we'd done glw-london then a trek to terminal 4 then a trek back to terminal 1 to retrieve his sister's ipod, 8 hours to nairobi and an unexpectedly long early morning wait, and then the final leg to lusaka

he turned into pillowman. one on the head, two on the hands, two on the feet.

i like to think he raised a few spirits, not least mine and his sister's

but few things were better than running across the tarmac to be greeted by the Hon Dr MP and my sister (his wife), being whisked through customs on a VIP ticket and finding ourselves in the jacuzzi within the hour
