Sunset Clouds
As I said in yesterday's post, the desert produces some amazing natural phenomena. Tonight dramatic clouds dominated the horizon all around the complex where we are staying. I made a couple of forays into the heat, each time the light was more colorful and the clouds more intense. I settled on this view south toward the Mexican border some 100 miles away.
The Salton Sea sits between us in Indio, CA and Mexico and it seems to create the most impressive skies night after night. Might have something to do with 100ºF heat and a large body of water.
