Spaghetti

This is the result of a building being chewed up and spat out ready for more steel-reinforced concrete to be put up in its place.

In a few years' time, the building at the back will inevitably suffer the same fate. It's the Royal Bank of Scotland, by the way, so maybe it should be given a good gnawing sooner rather than later.

To be honest, I do actually find the redevelopment of Bristol rather exciting. I've seen how places like Manchester, Liverpool and Cardiff have been transformed by imaginative planning and I think Bristol is joining their ranks.

In the meantime, the bulldozers march across acres of wasteland, the scaffolding and cranes dominate the skyline and a city slowly sheds its old skin and becomes a beautiful new creation.
