Somewhere out there.....

The water here is the Firth Of Clyde, but when you think about it, that same water is touching the whole world. It's amazing isn't it?

When Si was away at sea, I would often go down and sit by the water - here or at Crammond, or South Queensferry, and sit with my feet in the water. I just felt that by having my feet in the water, or my hand, I was that little bit closer.

The water that I was touching, was somehow reaching round the world to where he was. In the same way, that I look at the clouds, and the stars, and I think wherever in the world you are, we can look at the same stars.

The night before Steven left, we sat in the garden staring up at the skies and wondered whether we would be able to see the same stars. We probably could, but since he is five hours behind me, when my stars are appearing to him, they are just disappearing from my sight.

But I've realised that like water, and like the stars, our hearts work in the same way, they are wherever they need or want to be.

When I practise Reiki, I channel energy from above, somewhere far above, through my heart and on to the person who needs it. One mother told me, she didn't think I was channelling energy, I was channelling love.

I think she might be right.
