Close companions

Arrived in Guernsey and it is pouring with rain. Worse, the hotel which is wonderful in every aspect fails miserably on the speed of its internet connection. If it ever improves I will upload lots on to my Picassa account.

So, after long struggles, here is today's offering. On the left, the Town Church of St Peter Port. On the right, the Anchor Tavern. Thanks to the gargoyle up there, the Guinness Book of Records says that this is the closest proximity of any church and any tavern anywhere.

Very quirky. But I do look forward to sharing more! Even maybe getting a chance to comment - which I miss.
