Stormy
Today we had the task of showing our various members of family some aspects of Norfolk so we took them out to the Broads, a series of rivers and broads, which are like lakes. They were created though peat digging or some such rubbish (Geography was never my strong point)...
We arrived at Ranworth broad after only getting lost once on the way and after a picnic lunch (eaten hurriedly before another rain shower) we took the little ferry that ran from Ranworth village to the floating visitor's centre out on the broad.
This photo was taken just as we arrived at the visitor's centre and just before the rain started again...
As we left the visitor's centre and made our way back to the village along a boardwalk thiings started to go wrong...
Connie, convinced she knew where she was going, charged off with my cousin, Vita, and got lost. We reached the end of the boardwalk to discover that they were not at the end of it, nor were they waiting for us back at the car...
My Dad, Casper and I waited at the car while my Mum and auntie went to look for them. My Dad was getting increasingly angry, and so was I because I had a train I was supposed to be catching and was now bound to miss.
Connie and Vita were returned safe and sound, but I had missed my train and had to pay the extraordinary fare for the Park & Ride bus instead...
I arrived in Norwich and after walking around aimlessly, I finally got hold of Emily, and met up with her and her boyfriend. We then wandered round Noriwch, before saying goodbye to the boyfriend and walking over to Tilly's Mum's work.
The offices for ITV Anglia were rather impressive, and also slightly scary. The entrance hall reminded me of a hotel lobby and Emily and I sat there for half an hour, talking in almost whispers before Marie came to find us.
Marie was a bit like her office. Imposing and slightly scary, we knew she had a temper from stories that Tilly had told us, so we talked very politely in the car. (Of course she was perfectly nice to us, and we needn't have worried!)
We arrived at Tilly's and spent the evening and night round hers, everyone else fell asleep at about 1 but I ended up being awake for the whole night...
Not good...
