Sunburst

Busy today, but managed a quick sunburst shot through this tree as I walked the dog.

Pretty simple technique actually - Using Aperture Priority mode (Av), stop the lens down to it's smallest aperture and compose the image WITHOUT THE SUN - lest you burn your eyes. Gradually move until the sun just BARELY PEEKS into the image from behind an obstruction such as a leaf, rock, or cloud, etc.

As soon as you see the slightest hint of flare, squeeze the shutter.

Please be careful. It's the Sun. It's very bright. It's like 10 bajillion degrees and can burn your eyes out, blinding you for life.

Have fun!
