Digger Wasp
Probably an Ectemnius lapidaries (why do I have this desire to label everything?), it came and sat beside us and asked to be blipped.
Had a wander round Cassiobury Park today, watched a couple of barges going through Watford Lock No 77 on the Grand Union Canal (another labelled item), then impressed Mrs L with my knowledge of the grooves worn in the stone at the side of the lock and on the metal posts protecting the side of the bridge caused by ropes from when horses used to pull the barges.
Blipworld the font of all knowledge - I bet there's a name for these grooves, must find it out, then I can label them properly.
