To The Pier
As the name suggests, today we went to the pier...
None of us got up particularly early, and after a hectic morning spent shopping with my Dad (buying ingredients for his supper and our pudding) we sat in the beach hut while we ate our lunch.
In the afternoon, an assortment of family and I headed for the pier. We visited the shops that run along it, as well as the 'Under The Pier Show', a selection of weird and wonderful machines, including the 'Expressive Photobooth', 'Enter the Mind Of A Fly' and 'The Holiday Experience' (which involved sitting in an armchair and watching a screen...). We visit this every year and it's well worth a visit if you're ever in the area...
After a trip to the arcade where we spent some time (and money) on the 2p machines and miniature Derby, we had an ice cream before setting off back to the house.
In the evening, my sister, my cousin and I made the pudding -tiramisu - this has become something of a tradition in Southwold, however we do now make real puddings, as opposed to concoctions, mainly consisting of chocolate, cream and the occasional strawberry.
My Blip for today was this picture taken in the arcade, it was a toss-up between this, an old couple braving the freezing sea or a picture of the miniature Derby, but I chose this because I thought it summed up our day the best!
I'm behind on my Blipping, so I am writing this at quarter past midnight on Thursday morning, and I now need to get down to writing about Wednesday!
Night Blip...
