à 6 heures de matin

It is hot now, the hot that we expected. The morning sun on the now fairly well dried sunflower fields, also is playing on the wall of the building being re-built into a home next door. The geraniums out the upstairs bathroom window from where I am standing are still cool at this early hour. Not even the dogs are up! The house, by nature of its two foot thick stone walls, is surprisingly cool with the windows and curtains shut against the heat after the night air gives way to the sun.

Tonight is a town fëte. I have been advised to watch out for all the French men who will want to dance the night away.
