Uncooperative

Ben has been a particularly uncooperative model today. Everything he's done, he's done until I have grabbed the camera. He has not responded to commands, he has been his own man today. Which I suppose I am grateful for, in a way, that he is not just a "yes" man.

I wanted to catch him sliding down his slide, but he'd had enough of that by the time I came out with the camera. I thought I'd catch him watering my plants but I managed one shot before he'd had enough of that and started making his own puddles to splash in instead. And those pics didn't turn out so well. Just wasn't feeling it today.

I think that yesterday's cakes were a blip - literally - in my cake making prowess. I don't normally get them that good! It was a good day, I had lots of toddler-free time, and I'd got all the garish cupcake toppings out of my system on Monday and was free to be sophisticated.

Oh ok then, I really am a Cupcake Queen ;) I wanted to do a self-portrait, Nigella-style, of me licking my finger of cake batter or icing but I really did just run out of time!
