Anyone for Meat Roll?

Ingredients;

1 lb Shoulder steak
Ask Butcher to mince these two ingredients together
when purchasing.
1/4lb Back Bacon

1 Cup of Bread crumbs

1 Egg

Salt and Pepper to taste


Mix minced bacon and steak together well in a bowl.
Add breadcrumbs , egg, salt and pepper . Bind well together.
Press mixture very firmly into stone jar (or small Pyrex bowl).
Cover top of jar or bowl with geaseproof paper tied firmly with string,
(I use a strong elastic band) and steam in boiling water for 2 1/2 hours.
Turn out of jar (draining excess fat) and leave until cold.

Delicious !
