The Bark Park
After a morning spent helping in the classroom as well as catching up on laundry and housework...I decided I was going to surprise the boys and bring the puppy to the dog part a.k.a. 'Bark Park'. We've only had 5-month-old Scout for a week and a half, but they had been BEGGING to take him to the dog park to try it out. I packed the van with the soccer clothes as well as any homework stuff we needed for the night and headed out to pick up Liam and Loren from school with Scout. We headed straight to the dog park and the boys released Scout into the doggie obstacle course. It was a very humorous thing to watch. The boys navigated their own bodies onto all of the obstacle equipment trying to get Scout to follow suit, but the pup was having NONE of it. They would run up the ramp and then he would run around it instead. This happened on basically every piece of equipment. They were a little disappointed, so they let him out for free-play time int he bigger yard. They then threw the ball for him and he would run up to it, look at it, and run off. Strike 2 in effort. Oh, well!
We then had to head over to Liam's soccer practice and split up. Gary met me there after work and I took Scout home and the boys stayed with him. I researched a few recipes for Greek dishes...since Loren signed us up in his Drama class to bring in a Greek dish for 38 kids! It's a tie between whether to make falafel with cucumber sauce, stuffed grape leaves or baklava. I will decide tomorrow, considering I need to find these unique ingredients right away to have it by Friday.

This blip photo is of Scout trying out the dog park for the first time. I thought it was funny how his tongue and ears were flopping all around. His legs somewhat resemble a kangaroo in this pic :O)
