North Beach, Arklow.
I mentioned yesterday that the North Beach in Arklow was obliterated by Hurricane Charlie, the same one that Michael Fish of the B.B.C. Weather Service famously predicted would never make landfall and which during the same night decimated, it seemed, half the coastline of the British Isles and the Fastnet Yacht Race fleet along with it.
I told only part of the truth. Arklow had two beaches to the north and the more northerly one which isn't particularly accessible to the town was left mostly intact. I was there this morning in bright clear sunshine and glorious heat. I was going to post a shot of the entire beach but I think I will leave that for another day as this small portion caught my eye, so this is what you get today.
Cheers all. Joe.
