Driving South, Day 1

The start of our grand moving adventure involved travel over familiar terrain, Yakima, WA to Medford, OR. Even though they were familiar roads, many things have changed since we started driving them 35 or so years ago. What were once simply fields outside of Goldendale, WA are now impressive wind farms, stretching as far as the eye can see.

It is a reminder that things never stay the same. That is something we will carry with us as we begin the second phase of our lives.

For those who don't know, Shelley (my wife) and I are moving to Mexico via a three month stay in Indio, CA. We sold our business, house, and most of our worldly possessions, said a tearful goodbye to our many friends, and loaded up our Mountaineer to drive south. This will be a sometimes chronicle of that adventure.
