Decomposing Audubon
I have the great privilege of being the registrar/curator for a private collection of American art that includes many elephant folio Audubon birds portraits. We just got a group back from the conservator and I had to document them. So I got to play with the great artist's images. It is a bit like taking one of the Heades in the collection and changing all the masterful colors to Dayglo. Oh well, it was fun even if Audubon wouldn't approve.
