An evening meal at the Eagle & Child, Staveley with Simon, Jean, Matthew and Simon's parents Tim and Jeanne.

Caroline has "Tiny Ted" in her hand and they have been reading Tiny Ted's Big Adventure by Pete Bowman. Pete had given us signed copies of the Tiny Ted books when we got married. Though some would say I still have a mental age of less than 10, we thought that Matthew might get greater pleasure from the books. Simon was best man at our wedding, so what better home could Tiny Ted have?

It was a chance to catch up with good friends Tim and Jeanne who have travelled up for the weekend from Somerset. We haven't seen them for a year, a year that hasn't been the easiest for all of us. Grandmother and grandson can be seen here.
