Rapt audience
Today we finally got round to doing some festival stuff.
First we headed through to Glasgow for some sledging though. Alex, Sam and Chloe got us a family sledging gift pass for Snozone through at Xscape at Braehead. It was a 45 minute session which was probably just the right amount of time. We got lunch when we finished as part of the deal too.
When we got back to town Maddy and I headed off to see the Penny Dreadfuls. It was a three man sketch show thing at the Pleasance and was very entertaining. It's for twelve and overs and quite a good one for taking kids to (as long as you don't object to them hearing a wee bit of swearing).
After that MAddy headed to her Granny's house and Roz and I went to get a bite to eat then to see Brendon Burns. We've missed his show the last two years but other than that usually go and catch him when he's on. It was a wee nit of a different style show this year (he had a backing guitarist for one thing) but it was still bloody good, an excellent mix of rants and laughs, he was still as capable of being offensive but unlike a great many comedians he's never offensive just for the sake of it there's always a point to it.
A cracking day all in. This chap was stood outside the Udderbelly when we were queueing for Brendon and I quite liked the light.
