When it rains, it pours

This was the view from our room in Danau Toba. The weather could change dramatically within a few minutes - sometimes the raindrops were so loud we couldn't stand staying in the bedroom as they pelted on the metal roof. I am a real fan of storms though, and in Indonesia they really are incredible. A great storm is one which makes you wonder if it's ever going to end and whether the lightening is going to crack down right in front of you! Exciting stuff.
