I have a plan
here it is....
I am leaving NZ for good on the 17th of august.
From NZ I go to Australia for 10 days where I will see some friends in Sydney and Sunshine Coast. Can't wait! hopefully get a few surfs in as well!
From Australia I fly to Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. I will be Malaysia/Thailand/Cambodia for about a month. I am still unsure as to what I will exactly do there, but I have an idea. I want to work for some kind of organization that is fighting against human trafficking and sex slavery. I have emailed a few friends about some possibilities, but I am still not sure where exactly I will be. I am open to spend a month in any one of those three countries.
Slavery is real and it pisses me off more than anything in the world. I want to go to where it is happening and see it for myself and help out however I can in bringing it to an end. Slavery is eveywhere, but in these countries it isn't hidden. The countries make millions of dollars every year off sex tourism. People come from all over the world, because they know they can have sex with children for cheap. Children who are kidnapped and forced into sexual slavery, or are sold by their parents so that they can feed the rest of their family. Poverty and slavery go hand in hand.
I'll tell more about my next stop in the next post... Its hard to transition from slavery.. so im not gonna try..
Ill leave you with this quote by Martin Luther, because I think it is so applicable to the whole issue of modern day slavery.
If I profess with the loudest voice and clearest exposition
every portion of the truth of God except precisely that little
point which the world and the devil are at that moment
attacking, I am not confessing Christ, however boldly I
may be professing Christ.
Where the battle rages, there the loyalty of the soldier is
proved, and to be steady on all the battlefield besides
is mere flight and disgrace if he flinches at that point.
