Kitchen life turns
We have a community cafe on our island. Part of our local museum, it's run by a combination of volunteers and paid staff. It houses a fabulous selection of cakes and scones and is probably the best place to get a big bowl of delicious soup north of the antarctic circle.
Today they were short staffed and I was press-ganged volunteered to be washer up. Thrown in at the deep end of a sink full and having to suss out the sequence of washing/steaming/drying I managed to cope and got through the lunch time rush. Hard work and I can't say I'd like to do it for more than a few hours but I actually quite enjoyed myself. Mainly due to the great atmosphere and company in the kitchen.
This is Jamie, who made sure I got everything right and didn't bat an eyelid when I asked to take his pic for life turns.
Thanks!
