Happy Birthday to Grant!!

Today is Grant's 9th Birthday.
I remember going in for an ultrasound when I was only 11 weeks pregnant with him. The tech said, "Oh, you're having a boy." I told her that was impossible, I have 3 girls, "I don't do boys." She responded with a chuckle, "Well, you do NOW."

Fast Forward 9 years. . . Doug took him to the donut shop this morning before school to buy donuts for his classmates. He enjoyed being sung to by not only his class but the entire lunchroom later in the day.

We will celebrate his birthday with Emily's on Saturday, but we did do a quick dinner at <ahem> his choice of McDonalds after Emily returned from water polo and before Josie headed off to basketball practice. Gracie missed this dinner (I'm sure she was soooo sad. . .Gracie does NOT like McDonalds much) because she was at swim practice.

Today was National Night Out so Gracie enjoyed some free popcorn and lemonade at the Arnold Rue Center while waiting for Josie to finish basketball practice.
