Bumblings of a bee

Water 'tower'

I tried to straighten the picture - had to opt for the assumption that the lamppost and water pump are 'straight' and the building is crooked!! It was restored in the year 2000, but goodness knows how long it had been falling into disrepair before that.

Silly me didn't use the right setting to be able to read the words on the plaque, so I will have to bring those to you later. Only thing I remember is a reference to the Earl of Uxbridge, which made me wonder what he was doing up here (Uxbridge being a town on the western outskirts of London, not all that far away from Heathrow Airport)
