Tragedy

Emergency blip time again today so when I took the rabbit out for his evening run I took the camera and snapped away at some plants in back and front gardens.

Back inside, I settled down to enjoy a bowl of soiup when I heard an almighty thud on the living room window.

Thinking someone had thrown something at the window, I went outside to see only to find a bird on the grass under the window. The poor thing had flown into the window.

Thought it might be a starling, but after googling decided it's probably a female blackbird.

Found this small (in the scheme of things) incident very unsettling.
