Meet Heteropteryx Dilatata commonly known as the Jungle Nymph
This is the other edible insect on show in the Highcross
This little lady grows to a length of 6"..she is shown here 30 x normal size.......thank god for that I hear you say.
Highly unlikely to encounter one over here as the usual habitat is the Malaysian jungle.
Most of the meat is in the belly of the insect and supposedly tastes like crab although as insects have a very slow digestive system, it`s more than likely to taste of whatever it ate previously
