Smith Tower from James Yesler

My dear friend of over forty years is visiting this week and attending a conference to keep her certificate up --she 's a school counselor in Anchorage. The conference is on art as therapy and she said it's excellent except for the one young know it all also attending---always there is "one " in every class you go to !!!
We had a gift certificate for Elliott's Oyster house so we took Karen there for dinner and to celebrate her upcoming 60th birthday. On the from picking up her and Big R from his work I pulled over to take a blip of this view. Long ago the Smith Tower --one with triangle top--was the highest building west of the Mississippi! No longer ha ha.
