Not Just a Music Festival

This is Latitudes little slogan and it is very true. There is just so much going on. You could go to the same weekend 10 times over and never see the same thing twice. Poetry, Literature, Film, Comedy, Cabaret, random artsy stuff...

Despite my mothers predictions to the contrary the weather on Friday was gorgeous, perfect to wander around and take in the sights and sounds. This is some ballet i saw on the stage on the lake, they were pretty amazing. Original and expressive. The group was called 'Ballet Black' and was made only of black and Asian dancers which was cool.

One of the best moments of the day was finding my friend Jonny watching The Feeling and dancing unashamedly with him to 'Love it when you call'! Also saw Angus and Julia Stone, Laura Marling and the end of Wild Beasts, all very good. The definite highlight of the day however had to be The National in the evening. Fake Empire - one of my all time favorite songs. What a moment.
