Ousefleet Time
Not my ususal subject matter today. I went to the coast to 'twitch' a King Eider' which was very distant threfore no blip of that. On the way back I stopped at this church because I'd always wanted a photograph of the clock. Well, here it is to share with all of you.
This church clock has curious numbering on it. Look closely!
Perhaps the painter of the face didn't know his Roman numerals or had been in the local inn ..who knows?
For those who don't know Latin the inscription reads "Peace on Earth" and the date is 1919. The church was built in about 1106 and, of course, the addition of the clock was much later.
