I took a wander through Leith today, which, if you're not familiar with Edinburgh, is the city's old port area. Parts of it have been cleaned up, parts of it definitely haven't. I'm not sure which I prefer - too many overpriced coffee shops versus too many last-chance saloons. I couldn't tell which side of the gentrification debate this poor old shop was on, or even whether it was a victim of the current recession or the great depression of 1929.
