Puffins

An excellent days birdwatching today. First we went to the Scottish Wildlife Trust's Montrose Basin reserve, arriving a couple of hours before high tide to watch the tide bring the birds closer and closer to our hide. We then moved on about 20 miles further north to the RSPB's Fowlsheugh reserve - a seabird cliff colony where we saw the above puffins watch on as one of their mates struggled with its footing.

To finish off a grand day we had a lovely meal at the Ship Inn overlooking Stonehaven harbour.
