Breakfast on the beach
What a glorious morning to be sat eating breakfast looking out to the sea! It's these sort of times when you realise how lucky you are to have the opportunity to see such sights (you can tell I'm getting sentimental, back-blipping now from our Edinburgh flat!)
Today we spent the day snorkeling in the waters near our dive centre. The waters are so clear and we were able to swim right out to the edge of the bay...which I must admit did make me a little nervous, going out is fine, swimming back against the current is another matter!
We saw THREE turtles (or perhaps 2 and the same one twice?!). They swim so gracefully, it's a wonder to watch. We also saw a sea snake which was awesome, it dove down to the bottom and dug its way into the sand, with just its tail-end poking out!
Saw an immense amount of fish, including the tiger fish which I think must be my favourite, google it, it's incredible.
In the evening we decided it was time to be sociable and joined our fellow divers for a few drinks back at the ranch. It was a particularly special night as 2 of the divemasters became qualified (they'd done a 50 METRES!!! dive that afternoon). Part of their 'final test' was to down a cocktail of drink through a snorkel whilst we all watched and cheered them along. Great fun!
