Refractions and reflections

The sun came out today

I managed to hit my deadline
The meeting went well
I came home

And found a rainbow had fallen in my pond

Now I'm back at my desk
I have new deadline to hit

An old mate called me
I thought he was a client
I garbled madness down the phone

I wonder if the rainbow is now sleeping with the fishes?
