Unlike yesterday, I never even managed to take a blip out of the window today. I seem to have about 4 weeks work to do in the next 2. The maths just doesn't work.

I did make it as far as the windowsill and took a pic of my new Phalaenopsis, which Steven bought at the weekend to cheer me up cause I'm so busy.

I've been fascinated by Orchids since reading a book about how obsessive people can get about them. I can't remember the name of it but it was really weird. All about the plant hunters, illegal trade and very competitive showing. Very intense.

I've never been brave enough to keep one though as I thought they were quite tricky and needed very special conditions. But I heard a radio programme recently that said this type was fairly robust so thought we'd give it a go. I'm not very good with houseplants, they need just a bit to much TLC for my liking which doesn't fit with my darwinist approach to gardening.

It's safe though. Steven will look after it... just like he does everything else around here at the moment.
