At the Ice House again. Bought some monkfish this time. My pals the seals were there as usual (the lady in the shop gave me some scraps to throw them). I saw this gull just before pulling out. His gait, facing into a strong breeze, reminds me of some hardy old seadog.

I was tempted to take a cue from Benek (or is it Wingpig?) and simply write out the recipe for the meal my wife cooked later, from one of her Jamie Oliver books: Grilled butterflied monkfish with sweet runnerbean stew. Ages since I've tasted anything so good. My tastebuds were chorusing to Heaven.
