OPEN GARDENS

Open Gardens Day in our village, and a huge success with someone having to rush off and print more maps as the initial supply ran out. The brilliant weather certainly helped the popularity of the annual event. And it's the one excuse we have each year to look around gardens normally hidden behind high stone walls or trees. Some of the gardens which opened surrounded large houses, and our place would have fitted in umpteen times over. But I am not envious of their vast acres, well, not much. I really wouldn't want to spend any more time than I already do gardening. I wouldn't have time to blip!

It was a difficult choice today as I had several photos I liked, and which I will not be able to go back and take another day, more like in another year. But I picked this one when I spotted the Bees, as they show what huge flower heads they were.
