The Flower Guy

Meet Rey, we first met him at this same place with the same charming smile only in a different time. He has been selling roses for the last 30 something years at this road intersection near where we once used to live. You will see him towards the end of the day when people hurry on home or to where ever their destination might be. He stays there usually till late at night offering his blossoms to couples out on a date or to just about anyone who wants even just one. When the traffic light goes red, he will hop from one car to another offering his lovely roses. We had the chance to see him again this week and had a quick chat with him. He proudly told us how he has sent all his three children, all grown up now, off to college through selling roses. The light turned green and we say a quick good-bye and good luck. He gives us a big smile and hurriedly hops back up onto the sidewalk to wait for the next red light.
