Hang Zhou

Currently I'm in my own hotel room in Hang Zhou! The beds here are twins and I couldn't fit in with my parents so I got my own room :) We got here by super fast train and it was pretty cool.

We got a tour guide that takes us around the city to popular tourist places. The main attraction is Xi Hu (West Lake), which is basically a huge lake that the city is next to. This entire city is just like a huge park with trees and rock paths everywhere. Areas around the lake are all beautifully green. Unfortunately, it's raining here also, but it's still pretty.

Our tour guide took us to several places including another temple, a tea house (tea is famous here), and nice scenic areas. At night, we went to a laser light show on the lake. It was amazing! The people walked and danced on water and the entire border of the lake was lit up with multicolor lights. This shot is of the pyramid-type thing that came up out of the water; it was covered in dry ice to give that flowy effect. That little white thing in the pyramid is a man. He was the main character of the story that was being told.

I must also mention the good food. Food is good everywhere here hahaha.

I was so beat after a long day though. It's hard to enjoy some things when all you want to do is lay on a bed with a nice, fluffy pillow.
