Arrowsmiths

A year or so ago we stayed on a high country farm and our kids met one of the farmers daughters, Freddie, and got on really well. Their station is only 140km from Christchurch, but it's solid 2 hour drive, 50km of it up a back country road. It's pretty remote.

We've been meaning to go back for a while, but when we got an invite to Freddies 5th birthday we decided it had to be done. Leaving Christchurch in slightly miserable conditions, things soon improved. Once we were there it was, well, pretty nice!

All in all a great afternoon. New puppies to play with, sledding in the snow, lots of sugar! Lots of fun for everyone!

Then home and out for dinner. And literally back to the wet, dark, drizzly weather it the city.
