Networking - Office Day 10
This will soon be servers, lots of them. Day 10 of the office build and the cabling is now all completed, the suspended ceiling is in, and the walls have started. Amazing.
Like how many cables there are ... Today also we made the decision to install fibre, high speed Internet here we come!
The day started early ... 2am in fact. Adam and I got up to watch the All Whites vs Paraguay in the world cup. Yes, I admit, not an overly inspiring game. But the flipside, here's a team (NZ) that everyone said was there to "make up the numbers". They didn't just do that, they scored 2 goals (their first ever), they tied 3 games, one against the defending champions, and didn't lose a game. An astounding effort.
Sadly, there is one blipper here who thinks they shouldn't have been there. He is parsfan. I have to say, I respect his desire for a good clean game, but I don't have a great deal of respect for someone who can't embrace competition and "the little guys" giving it a go.
We might not have made the second round, but we held our heads high, gave it our best shot, and for that our team are hero's.
I bet an IT consultant in the UK gets paid more than the entire NZ soccer team. Mate, let's see how you'd go ...
