Pollen Count!

This picture tells a story of two tales...

On the laptop screen is a picture of Capernwray where I should have been diving today! I had been looking forward to diving since it was arranged 10 days ago! It was supposed to be the rerun of my drysuit dives after my dives in March had technical issues with the drysuit I was borrowing and the vis was appalling at Stoney Cove. I was also supposed to be meeting my Mum afterwards in the Lakes as its her birthday tomorrow. Very disappointed.

The mass of medicines is the reason why I'm not there!! Hayfever has taken over!! On Wednesday I blew my nose and felt my right ear pop so a trip to the docs ensued and lots of poking and prodding first in my ears and then up my nose... Diagnosis swollen ear canals with fluid & swollen nostrils. So I have my tablets (which apparently are useless when the pollen count is this high) and to add to my daily routine nasal spray and nasal cream! Hopefully I can get it calmed down for next weekend for diving in Dorset... I'm keeping everything crossed but the last thing I want is ear squeeze :-(
