Bedside

After three days of bedside vigils and little sleep, Appendix Child is on the mend. Had her op yesterday, flew above the hospital most of the afternoon high on morphine, and perked up this morning, in that inimitable childhood way, sitting up and asking for toast. Home tomorrow with codeine and dressings.
