Happy Birthday Pat!

We went to Bassenthwaite Lake today hoping to see some Ospreys but there were none visible. Walked for a mile or two surrounded by hundreds of sheep and lambs, they are quite cheeky and can be annoying but we discovered that as soon as you say "Mint Sauce" they take off like bats out of hell!

Then we celebrated Pat's birthday with a super meal at the Royal Hotel in Dockray, just up the hill from Ullswater. This lovelyhotel has a superp chef and very friendly staff. We highly recommend it.

On to the Rhyn Peninsula tomorrow and a visit to Logan Gardens.
