Please Show I.D.?
This morning was a great morning at church. It was the time when the youth group lead the service. It was Mexico Sunday, so we were able to hear the inspiring stories from their week in Mexico. They built a house for a very grateful family and the video that went along with it was wonderful. All of the teens came back from the trip with a new appreciation for what they have after spending time in an area where people have very little but are still so happy. They did a great job leading the service! Gary got up there today and did alot of singing. I know he was nervous, but it didn't show.
Then we headed to Mimi's Cafe for lunch with my bro-in-law & his kiddos, my father-in-law and our family. We were missing my father on Father's Day because he and my mom are on vacation visiting family/friends in North Carolina. It was the first time I had been to Mimi's. The wait was fairly long, but the food was yummy. This blip pic was taken at Mimi's. I thought it was funny seeing my four-year-old at the bar with his Grandpa Gary and his uncle. It reminds me a bit of the movie 'A Curious Case of Benjamin Button'. He begged for the orange slice that was floating in each of their Blue Moons & just couldn't understand why they wouldn't give it to him. He may have slept pretty well had he been allowed to have it :D
