View from the top

On Sunday I kicked a ball around with a friend and his young daughter, who has been entranced by the World Cup. Their dog Scruffy loves chasing any kind of object but can be a little boisterous and heedless of the finer points of football, so we locked the poor guy in the house while we played. He ran upstairs to their third-floor window and watched the game longingly from afar.
