The Alien in the Garden...

A few years ago I bought an onion tree because I love its abstract shapes and am yet to use it for cooking.

The bulbs are at the end of a long green stem; at some point the bulbous weight gets too much for the stem, crashes down onto the soil, takes root and starts all over again.... This way it can migrate across the veg patch.
