Best Friends

This blip photo is a picture of Liam and his best friend, Cody or brother-from-another-mother. This was taken at the 2nd game of Loren's Tournament of Champions tonight. When this picture was being taken, Landon was busy begging for food & candy from people in the stands :P Loren's team didn't score a win tonight. They played the Pacific Angels and struggled a bit. Since this was our second loss in the tournament, they will no longer be playing. They were really down in the dumps, but the coach picked up their spirits by taking them out for pizza and video games at The Graduate afterwards. This officially marked the end of their season (with the exception of All Stars coming up). We are celebrating on Friday with a swim party. I will be celebrating the most because I'm just a LITTLE ready to have our evenings free! :D

Earlier in the day, I had invited Cody over for the day as well as for a sleepover. All the while, Gary wasn't able to return to work today because his truck had broken down. He had to attempt to fix the water pump thanks to a friend from church who came over to help. This is his third repair in one month to this lemon we call his Dodge Truck! He is slowly learning how to do car repairs himself in order to save our wallet! I tried my best to keep all 4 boys out of his way so that we could have a working vehicle to get him to work---or at least to get him to the place he meets his friend for carpool. Funny thing is, he was disappointed when he called in for jury duty in between repairs and got dismissed! He is the only one I know who wants jury duty because it means getting paid for staying in town and not having to commute!

Luckily, a friend called to invite the kids and I over for a couple hours before the Tournament so that she could do my make-up. Is that a sign that I'm looking a little frazzled and REALLY needed make-up? I think so!
