Day 14 - Salt Lake City to Springdale / Zion NP
Dinner last night in the Redrock Brewing Company in Salt Lake City - fun place, great food, and tasty microbrews which it's the law to try, or something...
Up early - Mrs DP's turn for the Starbucks run this time. Valet parking delivered the car in a jiffy and we were on the road by 8.30am. Stopped a few times during the long 4-5 hrs journey to Springdale, Utah. It's the nearest town to Zion National Park. Our home for the night is the Desert Pearl Inn, and we intend to spend the afternoon sitting on our patio listening to the river flow alongside.
Even though we're a stone's throw from stunning Zion we're not visiting - it was the first port of call on our honeymoon three years ago, and our return on this holiday is partly sentimental / partly practical. We've just had lunch in the Pioneer Grill where we had breakfast on our previous visit, and are probably going to visit another familiar restaurant tonight.
Last bit of driving tomorrow - a few hours to a small town called Las Vegas, home for a luxurious 5 nights. Should be fun :-)
