sssssssssssnake!
Took my new bike out Monday for another ride in the State Forest after work. Still in love with it! I think I will be for a long, long time. :-)
I saw some really neat fungi in the forest tonight, and took some cool photos of them, the bike, and the forest. However, I finally got my first up-close glimpse of one of the big black snakes that live around here too. He was hanging out on the side of the trail so I hopped off my bike to check him out and take a few photos. I got some cool close-up photos of his head, but I like this one the best because you can see just how big (long) he was.
I also met a couple on the trail who I have seen before, but since I was stopped and taking photos of the snake, they also stopped and we chatted for the first time. They said they are getting a group of people together to try and build some more trails in the State Forest. This is exciting because it is the closest place to ride - so good for riding after work - but there aren't too many options and the loop is only 6 miles long.
So my daily blip also allowed me to meet some new people. Nice!
