Warm up

Every footballer knows the importance of the warm up. A fact that didn't escape the notice the attention of the boy, resplendent in his new Italy kit (he's kind of adopted Italy for the World Cup) for a football birthday party.

I'm not really supporting anybody but my heros of the day are Germany. I read today that the squad chipped in and bought 300 tickets for each of their group games to distribute to local schoolchildren: no announcements, no PR, no photoshoots. Totally under the radar. It only got out when it was leaked by the charity involved as an attempt to get other teams to do the same..... oh they also hammered Australia which is not always a bad thing ;)

Never write off the Germans, you know they are always up for it come the big championships.
